DAY 1: SEP 7 /Lima, Peru

Upon arriving in Lima, you will be met by your local guide and transferred to your hotel. 


This evening, you will kick off the trip by experiencing the food scene of Lima with dinner at a local eatery in the Barranco district. Here you will be served traditional home-style cuisine, resurrecting old traditional family recipes rather than reinventing them.  


Save room for a few more tastes after dinner including a traditional dessert and the perfect cup of coffee, made from 100% Peruvian coffee beans, at one of the city´s best coffee houses before returning to your accommodations for the evening.

DAY 2: SEP 8  /Lima / Sacred Valley

Today you will enjoy an exclusive visit of Callao and see for yourself why this neighborhood might easily become the new ‘Peruvian Soho’. The cultural movement known as FUGAZ, has set up in the port city and works on exhibitions, transforming spaces into shops for local designers or restaurants and gives artists a platform to exhibit their work. You will meet with a key person of FUGAZ and start your exploration of this up and coming area before trying out your own hand at graffiti art.

After lunch at a local restaurant, continue to the airport for your flight to Cusco. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the Sacred Valley. The valley is located at a lower elevation than Cusco, enjoys a mild climate and offers you a chance to acclimatize to the region.

Dinner tonight is enjoyed at your accommodations.

Day 3: SEP 9 /Sacred Valley

This morning, head to Chinchero where the Piuray Lake is located. This beautiful lake offers spectacular scenery, perfect flat water and plenty of birds to observe during your kayaking adventure. After a few hours of kayaking and taking in the beautiful landscape, return to the shore for lunch and then return to the hotel.

This evening, dinner is at your leisure to enjoy on your own before we gather to experience the night sky in our private planetarium.

Day 4: SEP 10 /Sacred Valley

Adventure awaits today on an exciting white water rafting excursion. 

After rafting, head to El Albergue restaurant where you will enjoy a typical Andean meal “Pachamanca"; this traditional dish uses a cooking method preparing food underground with hot stones.


Afterward, see more of the Sacred Valley of the Incas and explore one of the finest remaining Inca archaeological sites. The Ollantaytambo ruins are spread out over a large area and follow a long mountain top crest.

Return to the hotel for the evening at leisure.

DAY 5: SEP 11 /Sacred Valley / Aguas Calientes

This morning, visit the circular terraces of Moray, an agricultural “research laboratory” for the Incas where they studied temperature variation from one terrace to another in order to develop different crop varieties. Cross the extensive Maras Pampas, where people farm the land and rear cattle and sheep. The Urubamba mountain range and its snow-capped peaks provide a spectacular background for your visit. 


Next, head to Ollantaytambo train station to board Vistadome train to Aguas Calientes.


On arrival, check-in at your selected hotel and enjoy dinner at your accommodations.

DAY 6: SEP 12 /Machu Picchu / Cusco

Early this morning depart for your visit to Machu Picchu. You will climb one of the iconic peaks, Machu Picchu Mountain, with your guide, to experience spectacular views of all of Machu Picchu, the valleys and mountains that surround it. Afterwards, you will visit the Sacred Inca citadel, exploring its main temples and hidden corners with your guide and expert.


After the visit, enjoy a buffet breakfast at Belmond Sanctuary Lodge and then head back to Aguas Calientes to enjoy some free time before boarding your Vistadome train back to Poroy Station.


Upon arrival to the train station, you are met and transferred to Cusco city. Dinner tonight is on your own to enjoy one of the many local eateries.

DAY 7: SEP 13 /Cusco

Today you will have a free morning to wander around the charming colonial streets of Cusco by yourself.


In the afternoon, meet your guide and start your visit of Cusco. Walk to vibrant San Pedro market where you will get a first-hand look at how locals live day-to-day. Smell the scents of local produce and flora, absorb the styles and textures of the local fashion and discover the traditional fruits, vegetables and ingredients that make up the main staples of traditional meals.


After the market, visit the legendary Koricancha,  the Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, and finally end your visit in the bohemian quarter of San Blas, home to the workshops and stores of the most renowned artisans in Cusco, including Mendivil and Merida.


This evening, you will enjoy a farewell dinner at Calle del Medio restaurant, with innovative interpretations of the most classic dishes of Peruvian cuisine. An imposing bar with high quality, creative cocktails, the best artistic shows in the city, privileged location and a beautiful view of the Plaza de Armas of Cusco.
